Colin L. Read, PhD

Colin L. Read, PhD, age 63, has been a Director of the Company since 2013 and a Director of Glens Falls National Bank and Saratoga National Bank, as part of the “Mirror Board,” since 2010 and 2022 respectively. Dr. Read is a professor of economics and finance in the State University of New York system. He served as Mayor of the City of Plattsburgh in 2016, after three years of service on the Clinton County Legislature. He is president of ESG Analytics Group, has taught money and finance since 1987 and teaches sustainability. He is a published author, with various contributions to print, online and television media, as well as 12 books on global finance. Dr. Read has a PhD in economics from Queen’s University, an MBA from the University of Alaska, a law degree from the University of Connecticut, and a master’s degree in Taxation from the University of Tulsa. His expertise in economics and understanding of the Plattsburgh area are key strengths.
