Remembering Thomas L. Hoy

We at the Arrow Family of Companies are deeply saddened by the passing of Thomas L. Hoy, our former President, CEO and Chairman.
Tom started as a management trainee in 1974 and held various roles in Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Company’s Trust and Investment Division. He served as Company President and CEO from 1997 until his retirement in 2012. He remained Board Chair until May 2023, when he stepped back due to health reasons.
In his nearly five-decade career, Tom’s dedication to the Arrow Family of Companies and his belief in community banking was unwavering. During his time as CEO, Tom expanded Arrow’s footprint and set forth a strategic vision that is still followed today. As Chair, his commitment and integrity helped Arrow navigate significant growth while remaining focused on continuous improvement.
Tom’s legacy lives on in the caring company culture he helped shape. Our team and board members, past and present, are grateful to have Tom as a leader and a friend. He will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.
